Lens Apertures

Before buying any lens, Always check the specification mentioned on, Every lens manufacturer company mentioned the minimum and maximum apertures information on it,  like lowest F-Number (F/4) or Highest F-Number (f/22). maximum aperture size or minimum aperture size.

Maximum aperture is always better than the minimum aperture, It is always considered the fastest lens. F/1.2, F/1.4 is the maximum aperture lens and it can pass the maximum light through this. maximum apertures lens are always better and perform better in any light condition especially in the low light condition.

lens manufacturer always provides the minimum aperture of F/16 in the most of the lens and F/16 hardly used, I have used the aperture is f/12, For me the highest aperture number, in the Interior photography. F/16 which is typically more than enough for every photography needs. So please forget about the highest no and plan to buy the maximum aperture lens. As much as lens aperture open, As much as light can travel into it and your camera can get a good speed to shoot.

In the photography, We have two types of lenses, Fixed or Prime(known same lens) and Zoom lens, Zoom lens allows you to capture images from a single place. You can zoom in or zoom out from one single place, depending upon your comfortability.

In the case of the Prime or Fixed lens, No Zoom facilities inbuilt at all. Means, Distance is fixed, 400MM fixed lens will shoot at only 400MM distance.

Where 18-300mm Lens will give you any distance covered in between 18mm to 300mm but when you shoot at 300mm, Aperture size will be less/minimum from F/3.5 to F/6.3  and when you are shoot at 18MM aperture size will be maximum like F/3.5, It is all because of  the complexity of optical design for zoom lenses
